Living Area
The living room is the heart of the house and social space for residents and staff to engage and interact positively and come together to plan, organise and develop individual needs as well as unwind and relax watch TV or even play gaming.
Movie nights and gaming challenges will be a regular feature!
The Living room is equipped with computer desk with PC & printer, dining table and chairs, comfortable corner sofa in front of the TV (Virgin TV) with a second Gaming monitor with Xbox and Nintendo Switch available for use.
The living room is only for the resident young people, promoting inclusion and social interaction amongst the household. We want everyone in Orchard House to feel part of our big family!
In the Kitchen
In the kitchen, all our young people will be engaged in many aspects of cooking, making healthy meals, preparing & hygiene, budgeting, gaining experience, working towards a good level of food safety & hygiene.
Orchard House brings in volunteers from all backgrounds to teach a diverse range of culinary foods from around the world.

All our young persons have their own locked cupboard and allocated fridge/freezer space in the kitchen to store their own foodstuff. The kitchen has twin oven, 5 ring gas hob, combination microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, breakfast bar and stools and perhaps considered the most important feature to a young person - USB connection points! for charging phones and other devices.

Bedrooms
All bedrooms are fitted out with bed & mattress, over-bed storage (with lockable cupboard) wardrobe, drawers and desk/vanity unit. as standard.
All rooms are plain white so that the young persons can individualise the room in their own personal tastes.​
Rooms come equipped with superfast WIFI access, virgin TV and a TV monitor, USB connection points, duvet, pillows, linen & bedding, towels and introductory toiletries & bag.

Orchard House wants their young people to feel they can personalise their own space and will actively encourage this when new young people come on board.
